Amazon Prime Day is over for another year, after running throughout 15 and 16 July. With it came deals as big as Black Friday's on Apple products and accessories. Here, we shared everything you needed to know about Amazon Prime Day 2019, including how to get the best deals.

You can read on for our coverage of Prime Day 2019, but keep in mind that it has now come to an end. There are still plenty of deals to be had from across the web, and you'll find many of those listed below. But the next big discount event will be Black Friday in November. Find out what to expect from Black Friday here.

Prime Day was a two whole days for 2019. It is a huge sales event with discounts across millions of products across the globe on Amazon.

It's exclusively for Amazon Prime members, so if you wanted to take advantage the deals, you needed to become a Prime member. And, as part of a Prime Day promotion until 16 July, it was reduced to £59 for a year in the UK, down from £79. In the US, it's $119 for a year. You can also subscribe monthly for £7.99/$12.99

However, the 30-day free trial was also available for anyone that didn't want to commit.

Amazon Prime is a service that began life as a way to get unlimited next day delivery, but has since become much more. Subscribers get access to Amazon's Netflix rival Prime Video, plus plenty of other benefits. You can see all Prime benefits here.

1. Apple HomePod

From: John Lewis

Was: £279

Now: £199  (£80 off)

With £80 off the RRP, you can get your hands on a brand new HomePod (and a two-year warranty) at John Lewis for less than £200 - £40 less than Apple's own refurbished models.

2. Apple iPhone SE (2020, with 2GB data)

From: EE

Now: £99 upfront, £20 per month (£579 TCO)

An excellent deal on Apple's new 4.7in handset. Scroll down to see the details.

3. Apple iPhone 11 Pro Max with unlimited data

From: EE

Now: £59 upfront, £69 per month (£1,715 TCO)

4. Apple iPhone SE 2020

From: Three

Now: From £19 upfront, £30 per month  (with free BeatsX earphones)

We're rounding up the best iPhone SE 2020 pre-order deals here

This is the best contract currently available on the iPhone 11 Pro, with a hefty allocation of data.

7. Apple iPhone XS with 100GB data

From: Three

Now: £39.99 upfront, £36 per month

Three is offering the best XS deal right now - click the Three logo to see the details. We prefer this to EE's offering (nothing upfront, but £38 per month) because it works out slightly cheaper over the course of the contract (£903.99 rather than £912), and comes with twice as much data.

8. Apple MacBook Air, 1.1GHz dual-core, 256GB (2020)

From: KRCS

Was: £999

Now: £949  (£50 off)

You can already get £50 off the 2020 MacBook Air from KRCS. A great saving on a machine that only launched on 16 March 2020.

Stock is out at time of writing, but you can place an order now to secure your machine when new stock is available.

9. Apple iPhone 11 with 72GB data

From: Vodafone

Now: £49 upfront, £43 per month

Pick up the latest iPhone from Carphone Warehouse and get 72GB data from Vodafone.

If you can afford £99 upfront, the total cost of ownership comes down by £16 - this alternative deal is available from the same link.

10. Apple 27in iMac, 3.0GHz six-core, 5K Retina Display, 1TB Fusion Drive (2019)

From: Laptops Direct

Was: £1,749

Now: £1,627.97  (£121.03 off)

Get money off the new 2019 27in iMac with Laptops Direct. This is 2019's 3.0GHz six-core model with 1TB Fusion drive that normally costs £1,749.

It's also worth tracking Amazon's offering as they often match Laptop Directs's prices. Right now Amazon has sold out of this model though.

11. Apple iPhone XS (SIM-free)

From: John Lewis

Was: £999

Now: £629  (£370 off)

A fantastic deal. The XS remains an excellent phone, despite having been effectively replaced by the iPhone 11 Pro.

12. Apple Watch Series 4 (44mm, refurbished)

From: Apple Refurbished Store

Was: £379

Now: £319  (£60 off)

If you can live without cellular connectivity, you can save even more money on the discontinued Apple Watch Series 4 (44mm) at Apple's Refurb Store.

13. Apple 13in MacBook Air, 1.6GHz dual-core, 128GB (2019)

From: John Lewis

Was: £1,099

Now: £999  (£100 off)

John Lewis is offering money off the 2019 MacBook Air with this deal. You can get money off the Gold or the Space Grey edition.

Note that this model was originally sold for £1,099 but the new entry-level MacBook Air now costs £999, so you could get a 2020 model for the same price as this discount!

Very has a similar deal here but it's currently a few pence more.

14. Apple AirPods with Charging Case (2019)

From: BT Shop

Was: £159

Now: £129  (£30 off)

BT is offering the AirPods with Charging Case for £30 less.

15. Apple Mac mini, 3.6GHz quad-core, 256GB (2020)

From: Amazon

Was: £799

Now: £741.21  (£57.97 off)

This is a small but decent saving on the price of the 2020 quad-core 3.6GHz Mac mini.

16. Apple iPad Pro 10.5in (2017, renewed)

From: Amazon

Was: £529

Now: £384.99  (£144 off)

This is a great price on the Wi-Fi 10.5in iPad Pro. Note that it's part of the generation before the current one, having launched in 2017 - the iPad Pro 10.5in is still a powerful device, though - and 'renewed' devices are Amazon's equivalent of Apple's refurbished line, which means it's second-hand but fixed up and backed by a new guarantee.

17. Apple Watch Series 3 (38mm)

From: Argos

Was: £199

Now: £189  (£10 off)

With £10 off the relatively affordable RRP, this is a good saving on the smaller 38mm version of the Series 3. In fact, this is the cheapest you can buy it online right now.

18. Apple AirPods with Wireless Charging Case (early 2019)

From: Laptops Direct

Was: £199

Now: £158.97  (£40.03 off)

Laptops Direct has the best AirPods deal at the moment and you can get the non-wireless charging case model for just £128. This is a solid deal (Apple is still asking the full £199 for this model, but be aware that AirPods Pro have since been launched.)

19. Best iPhone 11 deals

From: Macworld UK

Now: Contract & SIM-free

Don't pay any more than you need to for Apple's new iPhone 11, 11 Pro and 11 Pro Max handsets.

20. Apple iPad Pro 11in (2018, 64GB, cellular)

From: Amazon

Was: £769

Now: £730  (£39 off)

Amazon has a good deal on the 11in iPad Pro 64GB storage. Other models in this range also have similar discounts, but this is the cheapest.

While Apple itself doesn’t join in on Amazon Prime Day, there are plenty of retailers that recognise that it’s worth joining in the fun, so you can find deals events from some of your favourites including:

As mentioned, you’ll need to sign up to Amazon Prime (or the free trial) to get access to the deals on Amazon. You should also make sure your payment and shipping information is up to date to make sure you can purchase products before they sell out.

If you come across a deal that has sold out, you can usually join the waitlist to be alerted to any stock that becomes available, usually because someone has decided they don’t want to purchase it after all and removes it from their basket.

You can also use the Watch this Deal button on upcoming deals to be alerted when they become available.

What is Amazon Prime Day?

Prime Day is rapidly becoming as well-known as Black Friday. It’s a deals event hosted by Amazon exclusively for Prime members, with more than a million bargains available across its varied catalogue.

This is the fifth Amazon Prime Day to take place, and the longest yet at 48 hours. 2017's Prime Day was 30 hours, but Amazon added an extra six to that for a whole 36 hours of frantic deal hunting time in 2018.
