It’s hard to believe that it’s that time of year again. We’re racing towards the holiday season, which means Black Friday sales are back. Here, we bring you our top tips on how to get the best Black Friday deals on Apple products this year, including sales and discounts on iPhone, Mac, iPad, Apple Watch and more.

When is Black Friday 2017?

Black Friday 2017 is on 24 November (tomorrow!), but retailers have already begun their sales events across the web. We're already seeing deals that are bigger and better than ever.

We’re always on the lookout for deals, offers and discounts on gifts for our friends and family, and maybe the odd treat for ourselves. While there are great offers to be had all year round, the absolute best time to find such deals is Black Friday, followed by Cyber Monday which is on 27 November this year.

What to expect from Black Friday Apple deals

On Black Friday and Cyber Monday, retailers offer huge discounts to shoppers ahead of the holiday season. It all began in the US, falling on the day after Thanksgiving, but over the past three or four years it has really taken off around the world, including here in the UK.

It’s called Black Friday because it’s the day when stores traditionally go from the red (debit) to the black (credit).

A more recent trend is Cyber Monday. It came about because it tended to be the busiest day of the year for online shopping. It always falls on the Monday after Black Friday.

We're now in Black Friday week. All week, and into December, here is where we are bringing you the very best deals on gifts and gadgets from across the web to make sure you don’t miss out. Many of the deals offered will run for a limited time or offer limited stock, so you’ll want to keep on top of things in order to get everything you want.

We’d strongly recommend making a list of what you’re looking for in the Black Friday sales. Try not to buy things on a whim because they sound like a good deal, because you could soon find you have lots of things you didn’t need and have actually spent far more money than you would have otherwise (we discovered this the hard way).

Also make a note of how much those things cost now. It has been highlighted in the past that Black Friday deals aren’t always as good as they seem. Some retailers have been known to put prices up in the weeks leading up to Black Friday to make the deals sound better on the day, so now is the perfect time to start doing research.

Amazon has kicked off its Black Friday sale, while Currys, Argos, John Lewis and other retailers have begun offering discounts too.

If you’ve found that you’re missing out on Amazon’s Lightning deals, which run for just a few hours and offer limited stock, we’d recommend signing up for Amazon’s 30 day free trial of Prime, which will get you access to deals 30 minutes before everyone else. Plus, you’ll get free next-day delivery with the Prime trial, as well as access to Prime Instant Video and more.

Where to find Black Friday Apple deals

Apple itself has been known to offer deals on Black Friday, but not every year and they’re not always the same in every region. We expect it will offer a one-day only bundle deal for a free gift card when you buy a Mac, iPad, iPhone or Apple Watch. The amount on your gift card will depend on the product you buy (a pricey Mac will result in a more valuable gift card, for example), and the gift card can be spend on products from the Apple Store.

Unlike Apple, other retailers are likely to offer discounts on Apple products and Apple accessories.

Last year we saw some great deals from third-party reseller KRCS on Macs and other Apple products, so we expect to see bargains there again this year. Discounted Macs included built-to-order configurations, too.

We also expect to see Apple deals from the following retailers:
