It's official. Apple just launched the 10.2in iPad at its September iPhone Special Event, which took place 10 September at the Steve Jobs Theater in Cupertino, California (watch the recording of the live stream here).

The 10.2in iPad will replace the 9.7in iPad and is now available to order. The device starts shipping 30 September. Check out the best cases for the newest iPad in our round up.

There are a few changes in the new iPad. Apart from the larger 10.2in Retina display, the 7th generation iPad works on its own iPadOS operating system, features a smart connector which lets you attach a full-size external keyboard, and integrates Apple Pencil support on a higher level than before.

The 10.2in iPad starts at £349/US$329, which places it in a slightly higher UK price point than its 9.7in predecessor, which was £319. We've listed all the pricing information by configuration below:

The 10.2in iPad is available to order now and starts shipping Monday 30 September. It's available in Space Grey, Silver, and Gold from the Apple Store.
