Everybody loves to take digital photos. With lots of snaps around you may fancy getting a bit creative. Here are 10 great ideas for impressive things to do with your digital images.

Crop out the boring parts in Photos

You can edit images in the Photos app directly on an iPhone. A few quick edits can make a photo look a lot better. Open Photos and tap on an image and tap Edit. Tap the Crop icon and use pinch and zoom gestures to line up the image.

Adjust the levels to make an image more vibrant

Adjusting the levels can make any image appear more vibrant. Start by tapping the Auto Enhancements icon (shaped like a magic wand) in the top right. Now tap on the Light, Color, B&W icon (a circular dial) in the left. Tap Color and use the slider to adjust the vibrancy of the image. You can perform detailed edits with the Adjust Levels window. Tap Done when you are finished.

Share your images with friends and family using Facebook

Remember to share your images on Facebook so friends and family can see them. If you haven't got Facebook set up already, open Settings > Facebook and make sure your user name and password are entered. Now open a photo and tap Share > Next > Facebook.

Put them on Pinterest and get likes

Download the Pinterest app for iOS and you can upload your photos directly to this image sharing community. Unlike Facebook the images you share on Pinterest are shared with everybody, but good images get lots of likes. It's a great way for keen photographers to share their work.

Add filters and effects with Instagram

There are no shortage of ways to add filters to filters and effects to images. Even the Photos app enables you to add filters, but Instagram still rules the roost when it comes to making average photos look great.

AirDrop images to your friends

Remember that you can now share images with people around you using AirDrop. Tap Share and tap their face to bounce images directly to them. It's a great way to pass images around.

Create a comic strip

There are some great apps available on the app store that enable you to turn photos into comics. Take a serious of snaps and add speech bubbles, captions and artwork to create a comic of your day. We rate Bitstrips, but there are a few different comic apps available.

 

Make a movie from images using iMovie

You can turn images into a home movie using pan and zoom techniques in iMovie (often called the Ken Burns effect). Most people don't know that iMovie is a great app for making short movies from your photographs. Download a copy of iMovie from the App Store.

 

Print out your photos using AirPrint (or an app printing service)

It may seem old fashioned but don't forget you can print out photos and enjoy an actual old-fashioned photograph. You can print directly from an iPhone (if you have an AirPrint printer) using Share > Print. There are also apps like Tesco Photo Prints & Canvas UK that enable you to order prints and get them delivered straight from your iPhone to your home.
