Top iPhone X deals

We've got a rundown of more iPhone X deals available below, as well as a customisable price comparison tool that you can use to find the perfect contract for you, but to get you started, we've picked out our favourite iPhone X contract:

  • O2, 100GB, unlimited text and minutes, no upfront cost and £45 per month. Available at Mobile Phones Direct.

iPhone X price

Despite being discontinued by Apple, the iPhone X is still not cheap. It previously started at £999 or $999, and that's for the 64GB model. For the 256GB model, you were looking at a whopping £1,149/$1,149. Wowzers.

Now that it's been replaced, you should be able to pick it up a bit cheaper, but retailers don't seem to be reducing the price much so far.

But many people will buy it on contract instead, which means that payments are spread over one or two years so you don't have to break into your savings to get your hands on the iPhone X.

iPhone X SIM-free

As we said above, retailers haven't reduced the price of the iPhone X by much yet, so paying an extra £100 or so would get you the newer iPhone XS instead. You can check out the best iPhone XS deals here.

Other places to check for the iPhone X (all of which will generally come with the same price tag, but may have better availability or warranties), are listed below:

Refurbished iPhone X (SIM-free)

Buying refurbished can save you hundreds of pounds. For instance, get £100 off the iPhone X from Envirofone, which specializes in refurbished phones, tablets and other devices. It currently has the iPhone X for as low as £599.99. View deal here.

Wowcher has deals on the iPhone X too with £200 off the 64GB model. View deal.

Keep in mind when you buy refurbished that the quality of the product may sometimes show a bit of wear and tear – unless you buy certified refurbished. When a device is marked certified refurbished, it goes through rigorous testing and repairs to ensure the product works good as new.

iPhone X contracts

Carphone Warehouse iPhone X contracts

Carphone Warehouse currently has its Black Tag sale which started from before Black Friday and is carrying on until midnight 4 December – so you may have to act soon.

One of the contracts we're liking at Carphone Warehouse is the £56 per month option for £49.99 upfront with O2, which gets you 30GB data as well as unlimited texts and minutes. You can see all of Carphone Warehouse's options here.

Remember to check upgrade deals if your contract with Carphone Warehouse is about to come to an end as they may offer you a big discount.

EE iPhone X contracts

EE is selling the iPhone X too. Its limited-time plan is a 30GB option that costs £63 per month with a £40 upfront fee.

You can see every EE plan available here.

Mobile Phones Direct iPhone X contracts

Mobile Phones Direct has some good iPhone X contract options, mostly with £0 upfront. Its best-selling plan comes with 100GB data, unlimited texts and minutes for £45 per month and no upfront fee from O2. See deal and other prices from Mobile Phones Direct here.

Mobiles.co.uk iPhone X contracts

Mobiles.co.uk has a few iPhone X deals worth looking at, though the best one we're seeing is from EE, with 50GB of data for £53 per month and a £75 upfront cost. Keep in mind, it's iPhone X stock has sold out at the time of writing, but should return 18 December. See this deal and others from Mobiles.co.uk here.

O2 iPhone X contracts

If you prefer to go with O2, you can build your own plan here. A 50GB tariff on a 36 month plan will cost £53.23 per month and £30 upfront, which is pretty expensive unless you're on the O2 Refresh programme, which reduces your bill on a phone you've already paid off.

O2 deals also get you 6 months of Netflix on data plans with 25GB or more.

Three iPhone X contracts

Pricing with Three starts at £48 per month with a £99 upfront cost. For that you'll only get 500MB of data, which isn't the best. You can see all of Three's plans here.

Vodafone

Contract prices on Vodafone start at £37 per month and go up to £60 per month. It's recommended plan offers 100GB of data for £60 per month with a £79 upfront. Many of its plans also bundle streaming services such as Prime Video, Spotify, NowTV and Sky Sports. Order from Vodafone here.

Sky Mobile

Sky Mobile offers the iPhone X on its Swap12 and Swap24 plans. Right now, you can double your data, with plans starting at £38 per month for 2GB of data (usually 1GB) with no upfront cost for 24 months.

The names of those two plans refer to the number of months between phone handset upgrades. The company notes that "If Swap12 or Swap 24 customers choose not to upgrade their phone after one and two years respectively, their monthly cost drops for the rest of their contract."
