If you're on the hunt for a 10.2in iPad (8th gen) deal this month, you've come to the right place. We're gathering all the best offers here, whether you're after the Wi-Fi or Wi-Fi + Cellular model.
The 8th gen iPad went on sale on 18 September 2020 and shares a 10.2in screen with its 7th gen predecessor, but it's a whole different story under the hood.
Powered with a new A12 Bionic processor, the new iPad 2020 promises 40% better CPU performance, stronger graphics, and is the first iPad to integrate Neural Engine – Apple's AI and machine learning software that allows better image processing and AR (augmented reality) support, along with a smoother Siri experience.
To top it all off, the iPad 8 is also cheaper than 2019's model – and you can get it even cheaper from certain retailers.
Here we're not only tracking the best iPad 10.2in prices of the month but also which retailers have the device in stock, with quick, cheap, or free delivery.
Best deals on iPad 2020 (8th gen) in June 2021 - up to £41 off
Good new: iPad (8th gen) stock has returned to most retailers after months of low to zero inventory. There's up to £39 off from Amazon and £20 off from both Currys PC World and John Lewis on 128GB iPad in space grey. Over at Costco, there's a £41 off the 128 GB Wi-Fi-only option (but you'll need a membership to shop).
Apple has the iPad 2020 in stock. Shipping is free, though delivery will take 3-4 weeks. If you want it before then, you'll have to go to Amazon or Currys PC World. Currys is offering in-store collection or free next-day delivery with code FREENEXTDAYDELIVERY.
The iPad 2020 is also available from Laptops Direct with £20 off and next-day delivery.
Don't forget Prime Day 2021 will take place over 21-22 June, which means you might see even more iPad 2020 deals. There are no guarantees however that the iPad 8 will be on sale then, of course.
If you don't want to risk losing the best price from Amazon by waiting until Prime Day, we'd recommend buying the iPad 8 at the current discount, and if prices go lower, returning your original purchase for a refund and buying the same model again at the lower price. Just be sure your original iPad purchase isn't used or damaged as per Amazon's returns policy. Sign up for the free 30-day Prime trial here.

Best June 2021 deals on iPad 2020 (8th gen) - on contract
These network carriers break the cost up into monthly payments if you don't want to pay in one go:
How much does the iPad (2020) cost?
- iPad 10.2in (2020, 32GB): £329/$329/AUD$499
- iPad 10.2in (2020, 128GB): £429/$429/AUD$649
- iPad 10.2in (2020, 32GB, cellular): £459/$459/AUD$699
- iPad 10.2in (2020, 128GB, cellular): £559/$559/AUD$849
The iPad 2020 is £20 cheaper than the 2019 model which started at £349 – which means there's no reason to pay full price for the 7th gen iPad, which is still available to buy widely, though now at slightly reduced prices.
Our advice remains clear though: if you're choosing between the 7th generation and the 8th, go for the 8th. You'll get a stronger processor and much better value. Plus now with the launch of the iPad Pro with the M1 chip (you can already save up to £43), we're seeing prices drop even further.
For everything there is to know about the iPad 8, including design and software updates, see our dedicated article.
Where to get refurbished iPad deals
You might also be able to save on an iPad if you buy refurbished. Apple's Certified Refurbished Store is the first place to check for the best quality renewed Apple devices. These are devices that have been thoroughly tested and repaired, and guaranteed to work and look just like new by Apple itself. Right now, the Refurbished Store doesn't have the iPad 8 in stock, so you might have to turn to a third-party reseller.
Below are a few places worth checking out.
- Big Phone Store
- Laptops Direct
- Music Magpie
- Smartfone Store
