Apple announced major upgrades to the MacBook Pro line up at its 18 October 2021 event. Apple now sells new 14in and 16in MacBook Pros. The laptops are available to buy now from Apple and a number of other retailers, although there are stock shortages.

There are a few key changes you can expect, including a larger 14.2in display - up from the usual 13.3in model. Apple's introduced a 120Hz Super Retina XDR display with HDR support. You also get HDMI ports, an SD Card Reader and even MagSafe.

The biggest upgrade of them all, however, are the two new ultra-powerful processors: the M1 Pro and M1 Max. The M1 Pro offers up to 10 CPU cores and 16 GPU cores, while the top-end M1 Max packs 10 CPU cores and up to an incredible 32 GPU cores.

Battery specs are up too. Apple boasts a 17-hour battery life for the MacBook Pro 14in and a whopping 21 hours for the MacBook Pro 16in – making it the best battery life on any Mac ever.

Here's our 16in MacBook Pro (2021) review and the 14in MacBook Pro review. We're also comparing the 16in and 14in MacBook Pro.

It's worth noting these new MacBooks aren't replacing the 13in MacBook Pro models – you can still buy both the 13in Pro and Air. These newer models are designed for a more professional and demanding market than the M1 models.

So, without further ado, here are all the places you can buy Apple's 14in and 16in MacBook Pro with the M1 Pro and M1 Max chips, both in the UK and US, including whether anywhere actually has them in stock right now! We also have details of the best prices right now.
