Step 2 of 7: Step 1: Scan your library

Download the Songkick Concerts app to your iPhone or iPod touch, and it will scan your device’s music library. The app will then create a calendar of events that shows concerts from the artists in your iTunes Library, based on your current location. There’s also the option to choose a new location.

Step 3 of 7: Step 2: Find a date

Tap the Concerts button at the bottom of the screen to bring up a list of upcoming gigs in chronological order, with the venue listed below the artist’s name. You can also jump to a particular date by tapping the calendar icon in the top-right corner. Dates that have just been announced appear in the just added section.

Step 4 of 7: Step 3: Make plans

Next, choose a concert that you might be interested in attending. The app will bring up a map showing the venue’s location, as well as the option to choose ‘I’m going’ or ‘I might go’. When you’ve chosen one of these options, the concert will appear in the ‘your plans’ view.

Step 5 of 7: Step 4: Sign up for free

When you choose ‘I’m going’ or ‘I might go’, you will be taken to a screen asking you to sign up or log in. If you’ve already signed up to the Songkick website, then use those login details here. If not, it’s free to sign up, which you can do by filling in the details form or logging in with Facebook.

Step 6 of 7: Step 5: Bands on tour

To find out if a particular artist is on tour, tap the Artists tab at the bottom of the screen to bring up your iTunes library artist list. Bands that are currently touring have a red banner. This list isn’t limited to the artists in your iTunes library. You can search for any artist by tapping the ‘+’ button in the top-right corner.

Step 7 of 7: Step 6: Purchase tickets

Found a concert that you want to go to? Tap on the artist, then scroll to beneath the map, and choose ‘Tickets and more’ to find and buy tickets for the gig. Using the options beneath the maps, you can also share the concert info with your friends via Facebook, Twitter or email.
