The new iPad Air series is colourful - really colourful. Apple has not only redesigned the Air to more closely match the iPad Pro, but it's also launching the device in five colours, including two that the Pro has never offered: Space Grey, Silver, Rose Gold, Green and Sky Blue.
Of course, it's not enough to offer bright colours only on the outside of a tablet: the background wallpaper has to be able to keep up. Apple fans got a first foretaste of the new wallpapers with the invitation to this year's (first) Apple event: the Apple logo in a completely new, abstract design. This design also made it on to the screens of the iPad Air.
Fun fact: the colours of the wallpapers on the iPad Air match the finish of the case. So if you choose the Sky Blue iPad Air, you will also get the blue wallpaper design by default. Presumably, you can also set the green background on the blue iPad - but we won't know for sure until October.
The good news is that you don't have to buy a new iPad Air to get the new look. Click here to download the new wallpapers - even if you haven't got an iPad Air 2020.
