In this photo we want to remove the woman on the left behind the airmen but she forms a border with one of them making it difficult to paint over just her.

In this photo we want to remove the woman on the left behind the airmen but she forms a border with one of them making it difficult to paint over just her.

 

Step 2 of 3: Step 2

Instead select the area where you are going to work, enclosing the woman and the background so you can easily paint up to the border between them.

 

Step 3 of 3: Step 3

Select the Spot Healing tool using the Content-Aware fill and paint over the parts of the woman you can see. The masking makes it easy to repaint if required.
