Adobe continues its work to consolidate its Flash technology for the transmission of video and TV shows online.

The BBC already uses Flash to power its iPlayer service on the web, now Adobe has revealed itself to be working with US networks CBS and Viacom to offer shows on the web.

The company has begun public trials of a new system which offers ad-supported TV shows on a subscription basis, with CBS offering CSI as part of the trial in the US.

Adobe and its content providing partners will share revenue from the advertisements that will air during the shows, Reuters explains.
