A reminder, training specialists Amsys has announced this years Macintosh System Administrators Conference. The event aims to bring together technical support professionals from Apple and cross platform environments to share news and views and discuss everything Apple related.
This years Macintosh System Administrators Conference will be held on the 10 December and will focus on deploying and supporting iOS 4.2 within your enterprise.
Amsys will offer the following:
• Seminar 1: iOS 4.2 and Exchange. iOS connects directly to enterprise mail servers like Microsoft Exchange and Lotus Domino via Exchange ActiveSync providing users push email, calendar events, and contacts. Learn how Active Sysnc works, the infrastructure required to suppport iOS and troubleshooting techniques.
• Seminar 2: Mobile Device Management. Deploying and managing large numbers of iOS users is easier than ever with iPhone. Mobile Device Management APIs can be integrated with third-party solutions to wirelessly configure and update settings, monitor compliance with corporate policies, and even wipe or lock managed iPhone devices.
Learn how to create configuration file to setup iOS devices automatically and ensure the iPhone is secure and ready for business. Understand how iOS enables enterprises to securely host and wirelessly distribute in-house apps to employees over Wi-Fi and 3G. In-house apps can be hosted on any web server accessible to users. Users simply tap on a URL to install apps wirelessly without needing to connect to their computers.
Finally a review of third party Mobile Device Management services that are starting to appear on the market.
• Seminar 3: Developer Tools. The iOS has a very rich developer tool set. This seminar will cover the wide range of tools available from simple web base html apps to full native apps. See how relativley easy it is to get started writing your applications.
