Apple has launched a new irregular feature on its website in which single tracks from selected artists will be made available for free.

These tracks are not to be confused with the regular 'Single of the Week' made available through the service. The feature debuts with a single track from recent John Meyer album, Continuum.

"From time to time, iTunes will be taking a closer look at an album we are particularly fond of and offering up one of the tracks from that album for free," Apple explains on the iTunes site.

iTunes users can download Meyer's track, Belief now from iTunes, or buy the album at the slightly reduced price of £5.99.
