Apple continues its war against grey market iPod distributors in the UK, launching legal action against a claimed 11 online retailers to prevent the practice.

The online retailers are accused of purchasing iPods in the US where they cost £15 less than they do in 'rip-off Britain', in order to sell them at a discount to UK customers.

Apple has hired legal firm Bird & Bird to lay the lawsuit down against the retailers it accuses of engaging in the practice, warning them to desist now and in future, and demanding the identities of the US suppliers of iPods.

The company is also demanding legal expenses and damages.
