Apple seems set to open its first retail outlet in Sydney, Australia in mid-2008.
The Sydney Morning Herald declares local council documents have emerged which indicate the store to be under construction on the corner of King Street and George Street in Sydney.
Apple's first southern hemisphere shop will occupy three floors, each with around 445 square metres of space. The store will have a glass facade - similar to the glass brick that designates Apple's Fifth Avenue, New York store.
Construction costs are expected to hit $15 million.
