Apple appears to have reached some kind of deal with Sony for the distribution of TV shows in the UK, with news that new BBC drama, Damages is available to download from iTunes.
The first episode of the new series is available for free download from the iTunes Store, with future episodes set to cost £1.89 each. New episodes of the 12-part drama will be added each Monday, one day after their transmission on BBC 1.
The series is described as an: "Intense, twist-filled series,"that takes a, "three-pronged approach as a legal thriller, a gripping murder mystery and an adrenaline-fuelled character study."
What gives rise to notion of some movement towards a deal with Sony is over distribution of Damages is the revelation that the series is copyrighted to Sony Picture Television and Bluebush Productions.
