Despite failing to get a single mention at Apple's annual music themed event yesterday, Apple is still selling the 160GB iPod classic.
Steve Jobs announced new versions of the the iPod touch, iPod nano and iPod shuffle but no new iPod classic as rumoured prior to the event. The classic was last updated three years ago, and it was thought it might get a new sleeker look and possible touchscreen interface.
One theory is the iPod classic may quietly stick around while Apple works out how to offer a similarly high-capacity iPod touch at an affordable price.
Apple promises: "With 160GB of storage and up to 36 hours of music playback, iPod classic lets you enjoy up to 40,000 songs or 200 hours of video wherever you go." The iPod classic, available in black or white, costs £193.
