Apple plans three Australian stores and intends making its iPhone available through Telstra there.

9 to 5 Mac is reporting Apple to have elected Telstra as its network partner. The report claims Telstra's search engine division is porting its Australia-only search engine to the iPhone.

Meanwhile, the Sydney Morning Herald claims Apple plans to open up to three official retail stores in Australia this year, including two in Sydney and another in Chadstone, Victoria.

Apple is now applying the finishing touches on its three-level flagship store in Sydney, which will feature a transparent glass facade.
