Apple has shipped Pulse, an interactive music game that uses your choice of music to create a game.
Developed by MTV Networks, Phase gamers can select a song from their library and the game will turn it into a game play level. Users must press and glide the iPod's click wheel along with the rhythm of the music to catch notes and musical expressions.
Two game play modes are available, Quick Spin for a short burst of gaming and Marathon for more extended sessions, featuring multiple songs and increasingly challenging game play.
The game offers colourful representations of different environments, including urban, underwater and alien landscapes.
Pulse is available for the iPod nano (3rd generation), iPod classic and fifth-generation iPods. It isn't compatible with other iPods of the iPhone, and requires iTunes 7.5, which Apple released last night.
Pulse costs £3.99.
