The Online Apple Store has been taken down while Apple prepares for its special event, which kicks off at 6pm today. Customers attemting to visit the store will be greeted by Apple's 'We'll be back' page.

Apple is expected to unveil a smaller iPad during the event, and there is speculation that Apple will also introduce a 13in Retina MacBook Pro, new iMac line-up, and possibly iBooks 3 and a revamped full-size iPad.

It's also believed that Apple will make iTunes 11 available shortly after the event.

In an unexpected move, Apple will be streaming live video from the event via its Apple TV devices. For those without an Apple TV, you can follow our live feed from 6pm here.
