Apple has finally filed a trademark application for the company's now prominent catchphrase: 'There's an app for that'.
According to Trademarkia, a visual search engine for more than 6 million trademarked logos, names, and slogans, the trademark was filed in the Advertising, Business and Retail Services, Computer and Software Services and Scientific Services categories.
Apple notes they began using the phrase in early 2009, following the success of the iTunes App Store and popularity of the iPhone and iPod touch.
The term covers the following: "Retail store services featuring computer software provided via the Internet and other computer and electronic communication networks; retail store services featuring computer software for use on handheld mobile digital electronic devices and other consumer electronics."
Trademarkia adds, Apple first filed the trademark late last year.
