Apple has announced a new series of in-store events for children aged between 6-13-years, 'Jam, Action, Snap'.
These sessions teach children how to make songs using GarageBand ('Jam'); how to make movies using iMovie ('Snap') and how to create a photo album using iPhoto ('Snap').
They are part of Apple's Youth Workshops. These are free hands-on events recommended for children and their families, who can register for one or more of the three free strands.
The Music Workshop, for example, is described as: "The beat goes on. Using GarageBand, we’ll teach kids to compose a song with loops, beats and even their own vocals. At the end of the workshop, they’ll have a finished song on a CD and a workbook to use with other music projects. Please register for February workshops."
The Snap series of events begin in March, while the photo sessions are scheduled for April, the company reveals.
