Apple has updated the Apple TV software.
The update is required for both second-generation and the new 1080p third-generation models.
The update addresses an issue that was causing the wrong content restrictions to be applied in Australia, according to Apple’s support article.
There is no other discernable to the UI or content change, although some sites speculate the update may to accomodate new features set to be announced at WWDC next week.
"A trusted source" has apparently confirmed that Apple is planning to demonstrate a new version of the Apple TV operating system at its Worldwide Developers Conference June 11-15 in San Francisco. Supposedly, the new OS is more feature-complete than the current version and is the same one that will run on Apple's much-rumoured upcoming HDTV.
