Apple is to open its latest Apple retail store in Exeter this coming weekend.

The company's latest UK shop, its 13th in this country, will be situated in the Princesshay redevelopment of Devon's county town, and opens on Saturday.

As is customary, Apple is offering prizes, T-shirts and cheering staff to the first Mac users to visit the new shop. The first 1,000 people through the doors will receive a free Apple T-shirt, Apple says. and a 'Digital Lifestyle' prize includes a 13-inch black MacBook and a silver 4GB iPod nano.

Apple already has stores in London, Glasgow, Birmingham, Essex Lakeside, Kent, Bluewater, Kingston, Manchester, Sheffield, Solihull and Southampton. The company is also recruiting staff for soon-to-open shops in Liverpool and Milton Keynes,
