Apple owned FileMaker has announced the availability of Bento 3 Project Manager in the UK, its personal database for organising files, contacts, calendars and more.

A new set of templates promises to make it easy for Mac users to track their personal projects and manage their time within one integrated, intuitive place.

Templates in the Bento 3 Project Manager include, Project Dashboard, with forms for project overview, milestones, tasks, communications, related files such as photos and presentations and time sheets.
Time Sheets meanwhile, comes with pre-defined Smart Collections for hours billed, hours to be billed, and amounts due. FileMaker adds, all information can be located using iTunes-style searching.

The Bento 3 Project Manager also works with Bento for iPad and Bento for iPhone, and links with iCal Tasks and iCal Events – providing a central hub of information to stay more organised, on schedule and on task the company insists.

Additionally, the Bento 3 Project Manager includes a free 30-day trial of Bento 3 personal database for Mac.

Bento 3 costs £29.95, while a Family Pack is £59.95.

Bento 3 Project Manager FileMaker launched its fourth annual FileMaker CubeAwards 2010 - Developers of Excellence competition, in partnership with IT PRO last week. Developers from the UK and beyond are invited to submit entries that demonstrate innovative uses of FileMaker technology.

The submission deadline for entries to this year's awards is 7 October 2010. Winners will be announced at the FileMaker Cube Awards ceremony, which this year takes place at the Royal College of Physicians on the morning of 16 November 2010.
