Regent Street's Apple Store will host critically acclaimed singer-songwriter Get Cape. Wear Cape. Fly at its next 'Live From London' event on 6 March.
Get Cape. Wear Cape. Fly is 20-year-old UK artist Sam Duckworth. He hails from Southend-On-Sea, Essex, and has supported the likes of Funeral for a Friend, The Magic Numbers and Feeder.
He'll offer a live performance next week beginning at 9pm. The Genius Bar and The Studio will be closed from 8pm on the day.
In autumn 2005 Sam played an open mic day at music industry conference 'In The City' in Manchester; Huw Stephens of Radio One promptly offered him a session.
His debut 2006 album, Chronicles of a Bohemian Teenager, was well received by the music press, securing a place on both Q and NME's top 100 albums of the year. He's now up for an NME award.
The artist has run a competition for tickets through his official mailing list, a very limited quantity of tickets will also be available on a first-come-first-served basis on the day.
The performance will be recorded and made available for purchase and download the following week.
