Griffin Technology is shipping an updated model of its TuneFlex AUX car cradle for iPods.
Cheaper than a new head unit, TuneFlex AUX is a flexible iPod charging cradle with a line-out audio connection for cars that lack MP3 inputs in their stereo systems.
The updated product includes an auxiliary-in cable. It plugs into the car's 12 Volt accessory outlet to power and charge an iPod while holding it in position. A light at the base of TuneFlex's adjustable neck shows power status. The system is fused to protect your iPod from unexpected power spikes.
TuneFlex also has a pass-through dock connector so you can use it in conjunction with Griffin's iTrip. Two versions of the product are available, one for the iPod, another for the iPod nano. Both cost £34 (including VAT) and are available through AM Micro.
