Apple has introduced the third version of its iPhone Software Development Kit (SDK), in doing so it has once again fueled expectations of a 3G iPhone.

The latest SDK alongside freshly-updated resources for developers, such as a new tutorial for building applications using Interface Builder and updated documentation are all available from the iPhone Dev Centre now.

Curious eyes are already looking inside the software, and have already found a mention of the chipset that will power 3G access in the next-generation of the product.

This reveals the 3G chipset to be manufactured by Infineon, and supports HSDPA and WCDMA, differing forms of 3G deployed in different territories.
