ITN has reached a deal with Apple that will see ITN news and entertainment content made available through iTunes.

The news will be available for download to iPods, and ITN will also make its ad-supported video broadcasts available through other services and devices. Some sports, business and film news will also be made available.

ITN's content will be made available for free, but will carry short video ads provided by Ad Infuse, reports the Press Gazette.

Nicholas Wheeler, managing director of ITN’s multimedia division, ITN On, said: “For us at ITN this partnership will engage more users with our content and extend our brand’s reputation as a provider of high quality video journalism on new media platforms.”

ITN On recently launched a dedicated entertainment and sports channel on YouTubem, offering entertainment plus sports, film and Bollywood programmes made specifically for the web, Press Gazette observes.
