Apple's iTunes service won a prestigious UK music industry award for the second year running last night.
iTunes won Best Digital Store of the Year at the Music Week Awards 2007. The award was announced at a special event at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London, and was presented by Justin Lee Collins and Alan Carr.
The award was voted for by a panel drawn from UK record companies and distributors. Judges gave the award to iTunes based on its customer experience, product offering and content, quality of service, use of digital platform to engage customers, and commitment to breaking new acts and genres. The shortlist for this year's award included Beatport, Bleep, eMusic and Napster.
