Ixos has introduced a range of glitzy cases for the iPod nano (3G), with prices starting at just £7.99.

The range includes silicone, diamante, aluminium and crytal clear hard cases, with all the solutions offeering access to the iPod's toggle switch, dock connector and earphone sockets.

First out the breach is the XMI419-AS. These silicone cases are available in pink, white or black and cost £7.99. The cases feature a screen protector and rear cut-outs for use with an armband, the cases ship with a white lanyard.

Second up is the XMI419-DI range of white, diamente-coated silicone cases (£9.99). These also offer a screen protector and rear cut-outs for use with an armband and ship with a white lanyard.

Third in the new range is the XMI429 Crystal (£12.99), a clear hard case that offers full access to controls, ships with a silver lanyard and is comprised of a two-part clip together design. A diamante-coated version of these cases is also available (£14.99).

Finally, for iPod nano users seeking maximum protection, Ixos has also introduced the XMI439-SR Aluminium case (£17.99). Manufactured using aircraft grade aluminium, these are described as elegant slimline cases with a side opening and a neoprene inner lining to protect and cushion the device. Cut-out sectins offer easy access to the iPod controls. This case ships with a silver lanyard.

The new range of cases are now available from HMV, Halfords and Borders.
