The University of Westminster, has become an Apple Authorised Training Centre for Educationand is integrating training in Apple's professional applications into its curriculum.
Training in these applications is being offered to students in the university's School of Media, Arts and Design.
The institution says it has made a move to offer training in Apple's applications because they have become standard across the creative industry.
Basic training in these applications has been provided for some years, but the move to offer advanced courses is designed to match graduate skills with the needs of industry, hopefully boosting employment prospects once students leave University.
The School of Media, Arts and Design will most immediately integrate advanced training in Final Cut Pro and Logic Pro into what it offers, and is considering also offering accredited training in Soundtrack Pro and Motion in future.
