iPhone 5 live feed Apple is expected to announce the iPhone 5 at 6pm BST today, at a live event taking place at the Yerba Beuna Center for the Arts Theatre, San Francisco.

Macworld is covering the event live, and will be providing play-by-play updates of the announcement, expected to be performed by Apple executives including Tim Cook, Apple CEO and Scott Forstall, Senior Vice President of iOS Software.

Nobody knows exactly what Apple is going to announce, but the persistent rumours surrounding the next-generation of iPhone, dubbed the iPhone 5, along with a prominent 5 shadow on the invitation flyer all point to an iPhone announcement. Apple may also announce new models of iPod touch and iPods. Less likely, although not out of the question, is that Apple will introduce new models of Mac computer and the also rumoured smaller, and cheaper, iPad mini. Most rumours suggest that the iPad mini is coming at another event next month.
