Apple CEO Steve Jobs dismissed Microsoft's Zune during an interview with CNBC following his Macworld keynote this week.
The interviewer, Jim Goldman, told Jobs of an earlier conversation with Microsoft's president of entertainment and devices Robbie Bach at the Consumer Electronics Show. Bach expressed much optimism for his company's new Zune, which Bach said was a worthy alternative to iPod.
Jobs replied: "Was he inebriated? Do you even know anyone who owns a Zune?"
Apple's boss also seemed to think Blu-ray had won the battle for the next-generation high definition video format, but pointed out that in the online film rental market, no one will care about the format.
