O2 today made O2 Home Broadband available nationwide and introduced its new O2 Business Broadband service.
O2 Home Broadband was launched in October last year, quickly winning plaudits for maintaining a high degree of customer satisfaction and reliability.
From today, O2 Home Broadband is available across the UK using BT’s wholesale network to reach customers in those areas where the local BT exchange has not yet been unbundled.
Customers signing up to the service will still use the BT network to connect but gain support from O2, including free 24-hour customer support, unlimited downloads and a free connection and wireless router as part of the deal, which costs from £17.50 per month for O2 customers.
Prices for O2 Home Broadband delivered over O2’s LLU network, rather than BT’s, start from £7.50 per month for O2 customers.
O2 Business Broadband offers download speeds of up to 20 meg, though customers outside of O2’s own network will be on BT lines, and will get 8 meg speeds.
Business users can expect a free connection and wireless router, unlimited usage, five licenses for McAfee security software, 24-hour customer support, on site support, one static IP address and dual SSID.
