WireFreeHiFi has announced the availability of the Opera S5+ KLEER digital wireless earphones, compatible with with Apple's iPod, iPhone and iPad.
The S5+ earphones promise CD quality, 16-bit 44.1Khz playback wirelessly using what the company insists is 'better than Bluetooth' wireless technology.
The S5+ operates in the 2.4Ghz band minimising drop out due to other radio sources such as WiFi and Bluetooth. A Kleer radio channel occupies only 3MHz of spectrum, allowing 16 such channels across the 2.4GHz ISM band. Channel switching is accomplished in less than 800 micro-secs explains the company. The result is no drop-outs on music and no interference.
Additionally the S5+ offers a frequency response of 20Hz – 20Khz, distortion less than 0.1 per cent, signal to noise ratio is typically 86dB and a transmission Range 10 metres (32 feet) indoor. Kleer wireless audio technology also promises ultra-low-power consumption allowing for up to 10 hours of wireless listening.
The S5+ earphones offers full control of your Apple device using the Kleer control backchannel, with Volume Level, Track Forward, Back, Pause etc, all available remotely using buttons conveniently located on the wireless earbuds, something currently not possible on Apple iPod, iPhones and iPad with Bluetooth.
