Sir Paul McCartney will perform live as part of Apple’s previously announced iTunes Festival.
McCartney will make his guest appearance on 5 July at the festival, which takes place at London's Institute of Contemporary Arts throughout July.
Apple has signed-up 60 of the world's leading acts to appear at the 350 capacity venue every night in July.
Kasabian will close the Festival with a headline slot on 31 July. Other new acts added to the line-up include The Go! Team and Aqualung.
iTunes has also announced Channel 4 as a television broadcast partner for its forthcoming iTunes Festival. Channel 4 will broadcast four weekly shows on T4 from 14 July, with repeat transmissions going out on 4Music on Sunday evenings from 15 July.
Entry to the festival is free of charge for competition-winners-only via select media partners and the official iTunes Festival website.
All performances will be recorded for sale exclusively at the iTunes store.
