Voice-over actor and former technology journalist Jon Briggs says that it's his voice behind Siri in the UK. Several years ago, Briggs was recorded by the company Scansoft, which later merged with Nuance, whose technology powers Siri. I'd be more impressed if he was also the voice of Siri in the U.S.
Apple has raised more than $2.6 million for nonprofit organizations since September, according to AppleInsider. That's the result of a matching program implemented two months ago by CEO Tim Cook, which matches an employee's donations of up to $10,000. So uncharitable, these guys.
