Apple’s iOS Health app can now grant you access to your Health Records. 

Which hospitals?

if you are with either the Oxford University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust or the Milton Keynes University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.

Patients at the following hospitals in Canada will also gain access to their Health Records: the Women's College Hospital in Toronto, St. Joseph's Healthcare in Hamilton, Ontario, and Mackenzie Health in Richmond Hill, Ontario.

Health Records have been available to users in the United States for some time, with around 500 institutions with 11,000 treatment centers taping into Apple’s system.

What data can you see?

This means that if you are being seen at one of the above hospitals, if your doctor inputs data relating to your medication, diagnoses and other relevant information you will be able to access it on your iPhone.

Is my data safe?

This data is protected on the iPhone in accordance with Apple's strict data protection guidelines, but the information could provide physicians with valuable information about your state of health.
