Apple has launched a new website called "iPhone 12 Studio". Here users can personalize the new iPhone 12 mini, iPhone 12, iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max as they wish. Pick one of the new models, choose a colour and then combine it with Apple's new cases and MagSafe accessories.
Your chosen combination of phone, cover and any accessories can then be saved and shared.
However, the Apple's new website iPhone 12 Studio only works on smartphones and tablets - if you open it on a desktop browser a QR code is displayed and if you view that in your iPhone camera app it will open the website for you.
Although the website is supposed to be "optimized for smartphones and tablets" according to Apple, we found that the website runs extremely sluggishly. The operation is very intuitive, but animations and the changing of the colours of devices and accessories slow down the user experience. Those who want it faster - but not as stylish - can still configure the iPhone devices on Apple's "normal" website.
Apparently, Apple took inspiration for the new page from the existing Apple Watch Studio. For some time now, the manufacturer has been offering a free choice of bracelets for its smartwatches. Together with different housing variants and colours as well as two sizes, you get numerous configuration options. In the case of iPhones the selection of possible variants is not so large.
The site is supposed to give a first impression of the finished configuration - therefore the customer is more likely to make the final purchase on the store.
We have a round up of best iPhone 12 deals.
