If you are planning to buy a protective case for iPhone 12 beware: some models are defective.

Alongside the iPhone 12 Apple has introduced a lot of new protective cases, but it seems that they have neglected quality control a bit.

According to MacRumors, several users have received a case without a hole for the speaker, which will of course have a negative effect on the sound quality.

One of the affected users, who shares his experience on Reddit, contacted Apple and received the incorrect message that there should be no holes in the case. This in turn has made people joke that the model with holes costs extra, or that Apple has scrapped holes to save the environment.

If you buy a defective case, you are of course entitled to have it replaced free of charge. On the other hand, maybe it can become a collector's item over time, who knows...
