Adobe Live runs between 5-6 June at Islington's Business Design Centre. XChange will host Strata. Together, the partners will demonstrate a range of Photoshop plug-ins, including tools to boost 3D model-to-photo matching, surface modelling and model construction from photos.
"We’re happy to see early support for 3D workflows in Photoshop CS3 Extended from valued ecosystem partners like Strata," said Kevin Connor, senior director of product management for professional digital imaging at Adobe. "Strata 3D plug-ins along with Photoshop CS3 Extended means creatives can take full advantage of the power of the Photoshop image editing toolset and paint engine for editing 3D and motion based content.”
Strata 3D includes three powerful tools: Match[in], Model[in] and Render[in] synchronised to Strata's 3D CX application engine.
Match[in] generates a matching camera view and a 3D grid that coincides with the vanishing point data. This helps match perspective in Photoshop documents and can place 3D objects into the scene.
Model[in] helps users model or modify objects using tools such as extrude, lathe, and subdivision surface modelling.
The Strata Foto 3D plug-in lets users generate 3D models from digital camera photographs. These objects include the 3D model data as well as the photo-based surface textures. Users can transfer photos directly to Strata Foto and return a real-time 3D object to a 3D layer in Photoshop CS3 Extended.
Strata Live 3D is a tool for the creation of interactive 3D content for websites and PDF documents.
