Microsoft's Mac Business Unit has published the fifth in its series of sneak peeks at the promised improvements within its soon-to-ship Office 2008 for Mac suite.
This time the preview focuses on how Office 2008 for Mac can improve a user's existing workflow. It looks at the new feature improvements within Entourage 2008 and PowerPoint 2008.
Entourage's new features include an improved calendar user interface equipped with colour-coded categories, status indicators and flexible To-Do list management. New feature My Day is a stand-alone application that lets users check schedules and tasks without launching Entourage.
PowerPoint 2008 gains a host of improvements, including dynamic guides for text and image placement within their presentations. In general, presentation tools have seen significant improvement, the company promises, including the addition of a digital clock along with the ability to start, stop, and reset the timer. PowerPoint also gains new Thumbnail Views.
