Apple will have a major presence at the world's largest gathering of Final Cut Pro users at NAB next month - even though the company isn't exhibiting at the show.
Michael Horton of the Los Angeles Final Cut Pro User Group (FCPUG) has confirmed the seventh annual meeting will be held at the MGM Grand Hotel's Grand Ballroom, Wednesday, 16 April beginning at 7pm.
"This just may be our largest SuperMeet in our seven year history," said Horton. "The Grand Ballroom at the MGM Grand Hotel will seat over 1,000 people. In addition there will be 30 vendors outside the theatre doors showing off their toys. Some of these vendors will not be on the NAB show floor. The SuperMeet will be the only place you will see them. Our raffle has over $45,000.00 worth of prizes so far and we haven't even started."
Apple will take the stage during the event to introduce its solutions for video. "And they are supporting this event in a big way," said Horton. "We will have presentations from Apple, JVC, Adobe, Blackmagic Design and many surprise guests."
Tickets cost $15 (price includes three raffle tickets).
