FileMaker has declared in excess of 250,000 people worldwide have downloaded Bento, the personal database for OS X Leopard.

FileMaker revealed the majority of the downloads have come from sales and trial downloads of Bento in North America and the UK, and the company is just now beginning to distribute Bento around the world.

"Bento’s popularity is propelled by the need for easy-to-use organisational software tools such as Bento, and by the rapid adoption of Mac OS X Leopard," said FileMaker president Dominique Goupil.

The software is a personal database designed specifically for Mac OS X Leopard. Its users can easily organise contacts, calendars, projects, events, and more.
