Chronos has announced its scrapbook software for Macs, iScrapbook.
In development for two years, iScrapbook can import photos and clip art in popular formats. A built-in Favorites Bin lets users store favourite graphics, shapes, and text for quick and easy future reuse.
The solution integrates with iPhoto – images and albums within the iLife imaging application are automatically accessible through iScrapbook's built-in image browser.
The software offers numerous tools to help users keep virtual scrapbooks, including drawing and graphics tools; object and image alignment and rotation, and a series of special effects, including cropping, sepia, shadow and transparency controls.
iScrapbook includes over 30 shapes with smart controls so users can design their own customised elements. Built-in rulers, project grid lines, snap-to-grid, real-time alignment guides and full zoom capabilities are also offered in the V.1 release.
Jerry Halls, vice president of sales at Chronos said: "Many scrapbookers have been looking for a Mac solution so they can move from traditional scrapbooking to digital scrapbooking."
System requirements call for Mac OS X 10.4 or later, 40MB of available disk space, a DVD-ROM drive for installation, inkjet or laser printer.
The software is set to ship next month and is available now for pre-order at just $29.99, rather than its $49.99 full price.
