Cruse Control has introduced Contacts 3.1, the latest version of its powerful contact management database software.
The new release offers a host of improvements, principally focused on email. Contacts 3.1 users can now set up multiple email accounts for the software, and can choose which account they want to use to send a mail when sending from within any contact field.
Emails and attachments are now stored within the database, rather than outside the application but on the Mac's hard drive. Collaborative users should also find it easier to share mails and attachments with others in their workgroups.
The software also lets users send single or multiple SMS text messages from their Mac, a feature that is no longer available within the built-in Address Book of Mac OS X 10.5. It also features schedule and diary management and a meeting maker function.
Contacts 3.1 is now Intel processor native and supports Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard. The software costs £425 (plus VAT) per user. The price includes a copy of FileMaker Pro 9, on which the program is based.
