Feral Interactive will ship Fable: The Lost Chapters for Mac on 31 March.

Created by Lionhead Studios, the game invites players to take the role of a legendary hero and create his life story from child to old man. Players must undertake quests and take part in adventures, making choices and decisions along their journey, each one of which affects the ultimate outcome of the game.

The game features real-time combat, the chance to interact with other computer-controlled characters, and many unique skills and extras. The game can be completely different each time you play depending on the decisions you take.

"It's been a long time in coming, but we are extremely proud of Fable: The Lost Chapters,” said Feral Interactive’s David Stephen. “We're confident it will set a new standard for action role-playing games on the Mac both for Intel and PowerPC based machines."

“It’s great to see Fable: The Lost Chapters refined and balanced for the Mac especially as there is a real dearth of RPGs on the platform,” commented Lionhead game designer Peter Molyneux. “For me the Mac is an icon of style and technology within the computer world and so it’s fantastic that Fable: The Lost Chapters can now be played on it.”

The game will cost £34.99 (including VAT) in the UK and is currently available for pre-order from Feral's online store.

Minimum system requirements include a 1.6GHz or faster PowerPC or Intel-based Mac, 512MB RAM, 64MB graphics card and Mac OS X v10.4.8 or later.
