FileWave has introduced new features to its FileWave 3.0 and Asset Trustee products.
The new features include support for multiple administrators, administrator concurrent log-in, hardware discovery and first time deployment.
Both FileWave and Asset Trustee are available as Universal applications for Mac OS X and Mac OS X Server, and are also available for Windows.
FileWave MD Nurdan said: “These product enhancements are intended to further meet the needs of our customers, and reinforce our market position. We are ‘software solution pioneers’ that listen to our customer’s requirements with the goal of exceeding their expectations."
Ron Okamoto, Apple’s vice president of Worldwide Developer Relations welcomed the release: “We’re thrilled that FileWave now offers all of its software management tools as Universal applications that take advantage of the power of Xserve and our Intel-based Macs.”
The new FileWave Multi Admin feature makes it easier to use the software across multiple locations and networks. FileWave 3.0 has also been re-engineered to automatically install any software or patch from Adobe CS2 to Windows Service Packs on 10 to 10,000 Mac, Windows and Linux based computers and servers.
Asset Trustee software collects and manages hardware and software assets across all networks. The release introduces Asset Trustee Discovery, a new feature developed to aid in the discovery of computers and network equipment. Discovery will automatically discover and report back all devices on an enterprise’s entire network.
