Nolobe has introduced the public beta of Iris, its new image editor for Mac OS X.

Iris is a Mac OS X application that aims to address most simple photo editing tasks within a single interface window, with no need for function-filled floating palettes.

"Iris has been created for previously overlooked Mac owners who simply wanted an accessible and easy to use image program that provides professional results, without the professional price tag." explained Matthew Drayton, founder and CEO of Nolobe.

Iris (beta) is also available for free download from the Nolobe website. It will cost $79.95 when the final version ships in March 2008.
